Elements Homework

DUE Monday 28th November.

Pick any element from the periodic table.

Use the internet to find out:

1) If it is solid, liquid or gas
2) Where it occurs (e.g. in rocks)
3) How reactive it is
4) When it was discovered
5) Something else that you think is interesting (about the element!)

    2. Helium occurs along with natural gas in reservoirs deep beneath the Earth's surface.

    3. Helium is the least reactive noble gas after Neon which makes it the second least reactive of all elements.

    4. Janssen in 1868 discovered Helium.

    5. Helium is a gas but does not turn to a liquid until it reaches -270C
